1) Calculation of mean value for the sample:   

Results:  AVG = 3.1250 mmol.l-1

            

2) Calculation of standard deviation (SD) for the sample:

Results: SD = 0.3307 mmol.l-1

 

 

3) Calculation of one-sample t-test (z-test):

                                         DF = n-1 = 19

As calculated t < tcrit= 2.093 (DF=19, α=0.05) difference between means is statistically insignificant. 

 

Conclusion: As the difference between means is statistically insignificant (p>0.05), preparation doesnīt influence the glucose level in blood serum of horses (sample comes from the population with the mean value =3.1 mmol.l-1).
