Example No.6

Enter data:

Egg weights before change of light regime : 37, 35, 38, 42, 35, 38, 39, 36, 40, 37 [g]

Egg weights after change of light regime : 36, 38, 35, 40, 37, 36, 38, 35, 38, 37 [g]

1) Calculation of mean value for differences between paired values:

Result:  AVG = 0.2667 g

2) Calculation of standard deviations (SD) for differences between paired values:

Result: SD = 2.2824 g

3) Calculation of paired t-test (n=10):

                 DF = n-1 =9

As calculated t < tcrit= 2.101 (DF=9, α=0.05) difference between means (before and after change of light regime) is statistically insignificant.

Conclusion: As difference between mean value of egg weights before and after the change of light regime is  statistically insignificant (p>0.05), the change of light regime didnīt influence the weights of eggs in layers.
